Heavy rain and hail hit parts of the UAE for third consecutive day

Rain of varying intensity fell on a number of areas across the country on Sunday for the third day in a row, ranging from moderate to heavy and thundery including Dubai-Al Ain road, Al Hayer, Sa’a and Khatm Al Shiklah in Al Ain.
The rain was accompanied by hail on Dubai-Al Ain road, active winds and lower horizontal visibility.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the rain is expected to continue falling on Monday on some eastern and southern areas.
The weather on Monday is expected to be clear to partly cloudy and cumulus clouds are likely to form over some eastern and southern areas in the afternoon, accompanied by rain.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring at times at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Tuesday's weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy with some clouds appearing in the east in the afternoon and a gradual drop in temperature, especially on the coasts.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring at times at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Wednesday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy and some cumulus clouds are likely to form in the east in the afternoon, possibly accompanied by rain.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring at times at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Thursday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy at times with some clouds appearing in the east in the afternoon but will be humid at night and on Friday morning with a chance of fog or light fog over some coastal and inland areas.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 20 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
