During the month of July 2026, the Emirates Cancer Society (ECS) provided financial assistance and needs to 40 cancer patients residing in the country, totalling Dhs152,000, according to a report issued by the ECS's management.
Sheikh Dr Salem Bin Rakkad, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated that the ECS provides assistance to cancer patients of various age groups through its branches in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Ain region. This support, he added, includes covering the costs of some treatment medications, living expenses, and rent arrears.
Bin Rakkad stressed that the ECS will remain a loyal entity for serving and supporting patients and those affected with all goodness and humanity, to alleviate their suffering and encourage them to overcome the disease, making them feel that there are others standing by them financially and morally.
He also praised the support of government entities, philanthropists, and contributors to the society based on the foundations of solidarity, cooperation, and humanitarian, social, and national duty.
