Abu Dhabi urges parents to continuously monitor kids to protect them from summer-related risks

 As part of its awareness campaign "Safe Summer", Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA) emphasised the importance of continuous monitoring of children and not leaving them in swimming pools without direct supervision. ADCDA stresses that constant vigilance represents the first line of defence to protect children from accidents.

ADCDA also warned against leaving children inside vehicles while shopping, even for short periods, due to the serious risks which may result from the significant rise in temperatures inside vehicles.

ADCDA called on parents to enhance children's awareness of safe behaviours and how to act in emergency situations, while ensuring the provision of appropriate safety measures in homes and entertainment venues, contributing to reducing risks and enhancing prevention.

Protecting children is a shared societal responsibility which requires the cooperation of the family and the community, ADCDA affirmed, noting that commitment to preventive guidelines contributes to providing a safer environment for children during the summer season.
