VIDEO: Sharjah cafe wins hearts by serving free slushies to workers in summer heat

A café in Sharjah has earned widespread praise after offering free fresh red slushies to labourers working under the scorching summer sun on the Al Taawun underpass project.

The thoughtful initiative by Fun Fruit Café saw its owner and staff distribute chilled slushies to workers early in the morning, helping them cool down while carrying out construction work in the intense heat.

The simple act of kindness quickly gained attention on social media, with many users applauding the café for reflecting the UAE's values of compassion, generosity and appreciation for those who work tirelessly to build the nation's infrastructure.

Instagram user Al Hammadi wrote: "Everyone who lives on the land of the Emirates gains mercy, kindness, goodness and love because my country is the country of mercy and goodness. Thanks for the humanitarian gesture, and may Allah bless your sustenance."
