Sharjah Police recovered valuable items worth approximately Dhs500,000 in less than three hours of receiving a report regarding a robbery. The robbery took place in the home of an athlete who is outside the UAE to participate in a training camp.
The details of the incident date back to when Sharjah Police received a report stating that the athlete's home in an area of the Emirate of Sharjah had been burgled while he was abroad.
Instantly, the Criminal Investigation Department teams rushed to the scene and examined it, while simultaneously carrying out search and investigation operations. They also gathered evidence which resulted in identifying the suspects involved, and recovering all stolen items in record time.
Sharjah Police affirmed that protecting lives and property represents a top priority, and that they continue to perform their duties efficiently to ensure the security of the community and safeguard property, whether the owners are in the UAE or overseas, thereby enhancing security and tranquillity in the Emirate.
The General Command of Sharjah Police called on community members to review the awareness messages and preventive guidelines published via official platforms. They should also adhere to the necessary measures to protect their property, especially before travelling, by tightly closing doors and windows and using surveillance and alarm systems. What's important is that they should avoid posting their trip details on social media, as this helps in protecting property, enhancing community security, and ensuring a safe and peaceful vacation.
