Emirates diverted flight EK225 from Dubai to San Francisco on Wednesday to London Heathrow Airport after a passenger suffered a mid-air medical emergency.
An Emirates spokesperson confirmed to Al Khaleej newspaper that the flight landed at Heathrow Airport to provide the necessary medical care for the passenger, adding that the affected passengers were provided with hotel accommodation and were rebooked on the earliest available flights departing on July 30.
“Emirates apologises for any inconvenience this may have caused and reiterates that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its top priority,” the spokesperson said.
