VIDEO: Parts of UAE see rainfall, temperatures may drop on Sunday

Suhaila and Al Dhaid areas in Sharjah on Saturday experienced rainfall due to a weak surface low-pressure system from the east, combined with an upper-level high-pressure system.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) indicated a likelihood of cumulus cloud formation, which could bring light to moderate rain, potentially intensifying at times in the eastern areas until 7:00pm.

Temperatures are forecasted to decline further on Sunday, with low clouds anticipated in the east. These clouds are expected to develop on Monday and Tuesday, with a possibility of afternoon rainfall.

The NCM reported that the highest temperature in the UAE on Saturday was 48.3°C in Hamim (Al Dhafra) at 1:45pm, while the lowest was 21.4°C in Rukna (Al Ain) at 5:00am local time.

The NCM expects that the weather on Sunday will be mostly clear, with some low clouds in the eastern parts. Temperatures are expected to drop further, and it will be humid during the night and into Monday morning, with a possibility of fog or mist.

Winds will start southeasterly, shifting to northwesterly, light to moderate in strength, sometimes picking up to speeds between 10 and 25 km/h.

The sea conditions will be calm in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. For Monday, the weather will also remain mostly clear, with a chance of some cumulus clouds developing in the east in the afternoon, possibly bringing rain.

Nighttime and early Tuesday morning could be humid, with a chance of fog or mist in some coastal and inland areas. Winds are expected to be southeasterly, transitioning to northwesterly, light to moderate, at times brisk enough to stir up dust, with speeds reaching up to 40 km/h.

The sea conditions will vary from slight to moderate, occasionally becoming rough in the Arabian Gulf, and remain slight in the Sea of Oman.

The NCM reports that Tuesday's weather will range from clear to partly cloudy, with a possibility of cumulus clouds developing in the east, which might be accompanied by afternoon showers.

Winds are expected to be southeasterly, later shifting to northwesterly, ranging from light to moderate speeds, sometimes becoming active and causing dust, with gusts reaching up to 40 km/h.

The sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

For Wednesday, similar conditions are anticipated, with clear to partly cloudy skies and cloud formation expected in the east, potentially becoming cumulus during the afternoon.

Winds will again transition from southeasterly to northwesterly, maintaining a light to moderate pace and occasionally becoming active with gusts reaching up to 35 km/h. The sea conditions will remain slight in the Arabian Gulf.
