Saudi Arabia announces one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa

Saudi Arabia has started issuing a new multiple-entry Umrah visa from July 19, making it easier for pilgrims to perform Umrah several times within a year using a single visa.

ONE VISA FOR MULTIPLE UMRAH VISITS

Under the new system, pilgrims can enter Saudi Arabia multiple times during the visa's one-year validity.

The visa allows a total stay of up to 90 days during the one-year period. After each departure from Saudi Arabia, the remaining number of available stay days is automatically updated. The balance decreases based on the actual number of days spent in the Kingdom during each visit.

For example, if a pilgrim stays for 20 days during the first trip, the remaining balance will be 70 days for future visits within the visa's validity period.

Umrah permit required before every visit

Before each trip to Saudi Arabia, pilgrims must:

# Choose an approved Umrah service package.

# Obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk platform.

# Book their flight before travelling.

These steps are required for every visit made under the multiple-entry Umrah visa.

The multiple-entry Umrah visa cannot be used during the Hajj season.

Visa holders must comply with the approved validity period and ensure they are not present in Saudi Arabia from 1 Dhu Al Qa'dah to 13 Dhu Al Hijjah, which is the Hajj period.

Pilgrims must buy an approved Umrah service package from one of the recognised service providers in the Nusuk platform for the first visit.

They can then apply for their Umrah visa, get the necessary approval from the relevant Saudi authorities, and confirm their travel eligibility before they board their flight.

They are registered upon their entrance to Saudi Arabia and they are registered upon their departure from the Kingdom.

The visa holder is required to renew their Umrah permit through the Nusuk application and buy a new approved service package from an authorised provider for each next visit.

The required verification procedures must also be completed before travel. After each departure from Saudi Arabia, the remaining stay balance under the one-year visa is automatically updated based on the actual number of days spent in the Kingdom.

The Ministry explained that the multiple-entry Umrah visa is automatically suspended after each departure from Saudi Arabia. It is reactivated for the next visit only after the visa holder fulfills all the required regulatory procedures, including purchasing a new service package and obtaining a valid Umrah permit.
