His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the registration plan for Sharjah’s government nurseries for the upcoming academic year 2026-2027, with an 18 per cent increase in the number of children accepted compared to last year.
Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi, President of Sharjah Education Academy, told the Direct Line programme that the Ruler of Sharjah approved the registration plan for Sharjah’s government nurseries for the upcoming academic year 2026-2027 with an 18 per cent increase in the number of children accepted compared to last year.
The first phase would begin in August 2026 and would accommodate 2,402 children, while the second phase would be in January 2027 and would accommodate 332 children and the third phase would be in April 2027 and would include 270 children, she added.
This would bring to 3,004 the total number of re-enrolled and newly registered children, with the number of government nurseries increasing from 40 to 47 in the emirate, she said.
