Sharjah Charity International implemented 11,051 humanitarian and developmental projects and campaigns outside the UAE during the first half of 2026, at a cost of Dhs139.8 million.
The projects were implemented in the fields of construction, educational, health, relief, seasonal, and developmental projects in several countries, according to Mohammed Rashid Bin Bayat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
He added that the figures reflect the broad scope of the association's humanitarian work and explaining that the association built 1,278 mosques at a cost of Dhs62.4 million, 7,866 well-drilling projects worth Dhs30.2 million, 13 schools at a cost of Dhs8.1 million and 107 classrooms worth Dhs3.7 million, in addition to establishing an integrated residential village for Dhs2 million.
He also pointed out that the association paid great attention to seasonal projects, as it implemented 443,000 Iftar meals for fasting people worth Dhs4.4 million, 22,358 Adahi projects for Dhs7.5 million and the distribution of food baskets, dates, and others.
