Sharjah launches ‘Art of Elevation’ Programme

As part of its ongoing efforts to nurture creative skills, Sharjah Capability Development has launched the Art of Elevation programme, designed to develop participants' artistic abilities and enhance their capacity for visual expression through learning a variety of drawing techniques. The programme takes place in an educational environment that combines creativity with practical application, contributing to the cultivation of artistic sensibility and the refinement of individual talents. 

Designed as a specialised training experience, Art of Elevation focuses on building core drawing skills while introducing participants to techniques such as charcoal drawing, soft pastels and watercolours. Participants will also explore the fundamentals of artistic composition, light and shadow, colour relationships and the use of these elements to create balanced artworks that reflect their personal vision and creativity. 

Through observation and visual analysis, participants will learn to transform everyday scenes and surrounding elements into expressive artworks using a range of artistic approaches. Strong emphasis is placed on practical application and continuous practice, helping participants gain confidence in working with different materials while developing both theoretical understanding and hands on experience. 

Open to participants aged 18 and above, the programme will run from 11 July to 29 August 2026, with one session held every Saturday. It offers an interactive learning environment that supports artistic growth, encourages experimentation and helps participants discover new forms of creative expression.
