Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) announced the implementation of a temporary traffic diversion at Imran Bin Taryam and Ahmed Bin Hadid roundabouts, as part of a project to develop the two roundabouts and convert them into two intersections controlled by permanent traffic lights.
The project comes as part of SRTA’s efforts to enhance traffic flow and raise the efficiency of the road network in the emirate.
The traffic diversion would begin as of Sunday, June 21, 2026, according to the approved alternative routes shown in the traffic plan approved for the project, SRTA added, noting that traffic movement would continue on Sheikh Khalid bin Khalid Al Qasimi Street without any closures.
The project is part of SRTA’s ongoing plans to develop road infrastructure and improve traffic safety levels, which will contribute to enhancing mobility efficiency and accommodating the increasing growth in traffic in the area, it said.
SRTA called on road users to abide by the temporary traffic diversions and on-site directional signs and to use the designated alternative routes in order to preserve their safety and ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the period required for carrying out the project.
