Ras Al Khaimah Police apprehended two young men, aged 18 and 20, after they performed dangerous stunts in their vehicles in an area across the emirate, endangering their own safety and the safety of other road users.
The two young men were arrested after being detected by the competent authorities. The concerned teams initiated search and investigation procedures and managed to identify and arrest the two men and impound the vehicles used in the incident.
Ras Al Khaimah Police affirmed that the incident file was referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures, stressing that such reckless behaviour posed a danger to lives and public property and that they would not tolerate any actions that would threaten the security and safety of society.
Ras Al Khaimah Police warned against dangerous traffic behaviour including showing off, drifting, sudden swerving and reckless driving.
The Federal Traffic Law punishes whoever drives a vehicle in a way that endangers his life or the lives, safety or security of others, or causes damage to public or private facilities, in which case the vehicle is impounded and the driver is referred to the competent authorities, they said.
