The Ministry of Education (MoE) stated that students can retake exams remotely, provided that it is approved by the school administration in coordination with the General Education Examinations and Assessment Department, if they are people of determination who cannot attend the exam in person, or if the student is undergoing treatment (medical cases) inside or outside the UAE.
Students who are outside the UAE for a valid excuse, and minor students detained in juvenile centres can also retake remotely, the MoE pointed out.
If a student faces technical problems during the exam, or if he does not have a computer device to perform the centralised electronic exams, the school is obligated to solve the problem during the exam period, and must ensure that all students complete the exam, the MOE affirmed.
The Moe stated, through the FAQ guide, that students will be provided with computers (if available at schools) or computer labs in schools will be used, and in the event of a technical problem which is not resolved at the time of the exam and after taking all necessary measures, the student's name will be registered in the compensatory exam link.
