The Sharjah Misdemeanour Court heard a case of assault on a delivery worker during his work, after a dispute arose between him and a man when delivering an order to his home.
According to the case papers, the victim worked in delivering shipments to homes and upon his arrival at the man's residence to deliver a shipment, he asked him to pay its value. When he received the money from the appellee, which was larger than the amount due, the delivery worker did not have small cash amounts as change to give the appellee, which resulted in an argument between the two parties. Th
e argument then escalated into the appellee becoming agitated, and then assaulting the delivery worker, which prompted him to file a complaint about the incident.
The court heard the statements of the appellee, who denied the accusations against him and insisted that he did not assault the appellant as mentioned in the case file.
After completing the case procedures and hearing the statements of both parties, the court decided to adjourn the session to a later date for the verdict.
