Abu Dhabi Police warn against fake links in search engines

The Abu Dhabi Police, as part of their strategic priority "Proactive Security" and strategic objective "Readiness to Combat Cybercrimes," warned against fake links and misleading ads which may appear in search engine results, which fraudsters use to lure users to fake websites and steal their personal and financial data.

The Abu Dhabi Police urged the public to verify the authenticity of websites and to use official applications and platforms only when conducting electronic transactions, and not to click on suspicious links or share sensitive data.

The Abu Dhabi Police also emphasised the importance of reporting cybercrimes and suspicious practices through "Aman" at 8002626 or via SMS to 2828, or through the ADP smart application, to contribute to enhancing digital security and protecting society.
