Schools in UAE to close for summer vacations from July 3, says ministry

July 3rd will be the last day of the 2025-2026 academic year for students in all schools, while the summer vacation for administrative and teaching staff will begin on July 18, according to the Ministry of Education (MoE).

Third-term exams will begin on June 24th and continue until July 3rd for all academic stages from grade 3 to grade 12 in public and private schools that apply the ministerial curriculum.

Compensatory exams will begin from July 6th to 9th, and end-of-year results will be analysed and issued on the 12th and 13th of the same month, while re-sit exams will start from July 14th to 17th, and their results will be announced and issued on the 20th of the same month.

The new academic year 2026-2027 will kick off on August 31st, while the administrative and teaching staff will start work on the 24th of the same month, and the winter vacation will begin on December 14th, 2026, and continue until January 1st, 2027.

School administrations confirmed, through circulars, the necessity of following "Tamkeen Digital Academy" and benefiting from the virtual review classes it provides to students before the end of the third term exams.
