Dust, strong winds to reduce visibility across UAE, temperatures to fall from Friday

Active dust-stirring winds at up to 45 knots are expected to blow on Wednesday and Thursday and a drop in temperature on Friday and Saturday, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

Tuesday’s weather would be clear in general with light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds blowing at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea would have regular to moderate waves and would become rough at times at night in the Arabian Gulf compared to regular waves in the Sea of Oman, it said.

Wednesday’s weather would be clear in general with light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds blowing, turning to active at times and dust-stirring at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, it added.

The sea would have regular to moderate waves and would become rough at times in the Arabian Gulf compared to regular waves in the Sea of Oman, it said.

Thursday’s weather would be clear in general and dusty at times during the day, it added, noting that light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds would blow, turning to active to strong at times and dust-stirring, causing the horizontal visibility to be lower.

Friday’s weather would be clear in general and dusty at times with temperature tending to drop slightly, especially on the coasts, it said, adding that light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds would blow, turning to active to strong at times.

Saturday’s weather would be clear in general and dusty at times with some low clouds appearing in the east and a further drop in temperature, while light to moderate northwesterly winds would blow, turning to active to strong at times and dust-stirring.
