Ras Al Khaimah’s parks witnessed a remarkable turnout from residents, visitors and beachgoers on the first day of Eid Al Adha, as these facilities turned into main destinations for families and individuals looking for a fun festive atmosphere amidst nature and the open air.
Visitors to the emirate fanned out across 13 parks and recreational facilities equipped with all services.
The sites that attracted the public included 11 parks spread across various residential neighbourhoods, which provided a safe and comfortable family atmosphere for residents living nearby. Saqr Park emerged as a top destination for visitors, with this long-established recreational facility spanning 200,000 square metres (approximately 20 hectares).
The park, considered the emirate’s largest green lung, welcomed a large number of visitors, averaging between 1,500 and 3,000 daily, who enjoyed its expansive spaces and diverse recreational facilities suitable for all ages. Al Rifaa Park, which recently opened to enhance the emirate’s recreational infrastructure, also witnessed a remarkable turnout from residents of the area and surrounding neighbourhoods. The new park spans 60,000 square metres (approximately 6 hectares) and was designed according to the highest standards to provide a comprehensive natural haven that supports quality of life.
