Sharjah Municipality has announced free public parking across the emirate during the Eid Al Adha holiday, from May 27 to May 29.
The municipality clarified that the exemption applies to regular public parking areas only and does not include smart parking zones or paid parking spaces that operate throughout the week, including official holidays. These exempted areas can be identified through blue directional and informational signboards installed across the city.
The move comes as part of efforts to facilitate movement for residents and visitors during the Eid holiday period, when shopping centres, parks and public destinations are expected to witness increased traffic and visitor numbers.
Sharjah Municipality urged motorists to follow all parking regulations and adhere to traffic instructions and guidance signs during the holiday to avoid violations and ensure smooth traffic flow in busy areas.
Authorities also reminded drivers to park only in designated spaces and avoid obstructing roads, residential entrances or emergency access routes while benefiting from the temporary free parking initiative during the Eid Al Adha celebrations.
