The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has completed the construction of a new strategic water tank in the Al Haray residential area of Khorfakkan, with a storage capacity of 1.35 million gallons, as part of its continuous efforts to strengthen water infrastructure and ensure sustainable utility services across the emirate.
The project was implemented in line with the highest approved technical and engineering standards to meet the increasing demand for water services in residential, commercial, and industrial areas. According to Rashid Al Kabori, Deputy Director of SEWA’s Khorfakkan Department, the new facility will play a key role in supporting urban development and expansion plans in Al Haray and nearby areas while ensuring uninterrupted water supply with high operational efficiency.
Al Kabori added that the project is designed to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of the water distribution network, reinforce water security, and improve the reliability of supplies for both existing and future residential and service developments.
Engineer Mohammed Al Hooti, who supervised the project’s implementation, confirmed that the tank was completed ahead of schedule. He noted that the achievement reflects the efficiency of SEWA’s engineering, technical, and administrative teams and demonstrates the authority’s commitment to delivering strategic infrastructure projects with the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and operational readiness.
