The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) inaugurated "Al Bashayer" Mosque in Dubai Science Park, Al Barsha South 2, as part of its continuous efforts to develop religious infrastructure and provide mosques according to the highest urban and service standards, in line with the civilisational renaissance witnessed by the Emirate of Dubai and to enhance the quality of life for the community.
The mosque was built in the local style inspired by the authentic Emirati architectural identity, on a land area of 2,834.54 square metres, at a total cost of Dhs4,898,634, with generous support from the donor Rashad Mohammed Mohammed Sharif Bukhash, reflecting the values of generosity, giving, and charitable work rooted in the UAE society, IACAD clarified.
The mosque accommodates 600 worshippers, including 540 men and 60 women, and includes integrated service facilities such as accommodation for the Imam, Muezzin, and assistant, washing areas, ablution facilities, and water coolers, in addition to dedicated facilities that cater to the needs of people of determination.
The inauguration of the mosque comes within the framework of the IACAD's keenness to meet the needs of new residential and developmental areas, and to consolidate the role of mosques as beacons of worship and social cohesion, contributing to enhancing stability and tranquility in society.
The inauguration of "Al Bashayer" Mosque is consistent with its strategic plans aimed at developing and sustaining mosques in various areas of the Emirate, according to the best engineering and service specifications, providing an integrated spiritual environment that enhances the mosque's status and its civilisational and humanitarian role in society, IACAD indicated.
