Knowledge and Human Development Authority has announced that private educational institutions across Dubai will observe the Eid Al Adha holiday from Monday, May 25, until Sunday, May 31, in line with the emirate’s unified academic calendar.
The authority confirmed that students, teachers and administrative staff will return to classes on Monday, June 1, following the week-long break.
The holiday will apply to all private schools, universities and early childhood centres operating under KHDA’s supervision in Dubai. The announcement allows families and educational institutions to plan ahead for travel, family gatherings and holiday activities during one of the most significant occasions in the Islamic calendar.
In a statement marking the occasion, the KHDA extended warm greetings and congratulations to students, parents, educators and school communities across the emirate. The authority wished everyone a joyful Eid holiday filled with happiness, peace and memorable moments with family and loved ones.
Eid Al Adha is widely celebrated across the UAE with prayers, family visits and charitable activities, while many residents also take advantage of the public holiday period for travel and leisure.
