His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, met Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkey, within the framework of Sheikh Mansour’s working visit to Türkiye.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Turkish President, along with his wishes for further progress and prosperity for Türkey and its friendly people.
In turn, President Erdoğan conveyed his greetings to the UAE President and his wishes for continued development and prosperity for the UAE and its people.
The two sides discussed various aspects of cooperation and joint work between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Türkey, and ways to further strengthen them in support of the two countries’ shared development priorities and mutual interests, in a manner that promotes growth and prosperity for their friendly peoples.
The discussions took place within the framework of the strategic relations and Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement binding the two countries, as well as their shared commitment to continuing progress towards its objectives.
The meeting also addressed a number of regional issues, foremost among them developments in the Middle East and their repercussions on regional security and stability, with the two sides exchanging views on these matters.
Sheikh Mansour affirmed the strength of relations between the UAE and the Republic of Türkey and the shared commitment to advancing them in a way that fulfils the aspirations of the two countries and their peoples for further progress and prosperity.
Separately, Sheikh Mansour visited SAHA EXPO 2026, Türkey’s premier defence and aerospace exhibition, taking place from May 5-9 at the Istanbul Expo Centre.
During a tour of the exhibition’s pavilions, Sheikh Mansour reviewed the latest advanced defence technologies and systems showcased by participating companies.
He was also briefed on key innovations and advanced solutions in the fields of unmanned systems, artificial intelligence and defence manufacturing, and their role in supporting security and defence capabilities and enhancing readiness to keep pace with the rapid developments in this vital sector.
Sheikh Mansour affirmed that such specialised international exhibitions represent important platforms for strengthening cooperation, exchanging expertise and showcasing the latest global developments in defence industries and advanced technologies.
He highlighted the UAE’s active participation, which, he said, reflects the vision of the country’s wise leadership to strengthen partnerships and build an advanced defence ecosystem based on innovation, knowledge transfer and technology localisation.
Sheikh Mansour also praised the scale of participation and the high level of organisation of the exhibition.
The UAE pavilion features broad participation from several leading national companies showcasing the latest advanced defence technologies and systems across multiple fields, reflecting the significant progress achieved by the UAE’s defence industries.
SAHA Expo is regarded as one of the world’s leading specialised events in the defence, aerospace and aviation sectors. It serves as an international platform bringing together major manufacturing companies, decision-makers, experts and specialists from around the world, in addition to conferences and panel discussions highlighting the latest global trends in defence and advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and advanced military manufacturing.
The event also provides a platform for strengthening strategic partnerships and exchanging expertise.
A number of ministers and senior officials accompanied Sheikh Mansour during the visit.
Supported by the UAE Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, and organised by ADNEC Group, a Modon company, the pavilion serves as a platform for UAE companies to showcase their latest defence solutions and engage with global stakeholders across the sector.
