The Ministry of Economy and Tourism has urged consumers to immediately stop using 220ml glass drinking cups sold under the Flying Tiger label, as part of its ongoing commitment to ensuring product safety across the UAE market.
The ministry clarified that the affected items, identified by specific product numbers shown in official notices, were sold between 2024 and 2025.
Recent testing revealed that the external decorative print on the cups contains elevated levels of lead and cadmium, substances that may pose potential health risks if exposure occurs.
Consumers are strongly advised to dispose of the product without delay and avoid further use. The ministry reaffirmed that it continues to intensify market monitoring and inspections, taking swift action when safety concerns arise.
It also stressed its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and consumer protection, while encouraging the public to stay informed about recalls and report any suspected unsafe products.
