Sharjah Misdemeanor Court heard a case in which an Asian, who was appointed by a court decision as a judicial custodian of company headquarters, was accused of misappropriating items taken into custody following the implementation of official inventory procedures.
The case papers showed that the accused was tasked with preserving the company’s contents taken into custody in his capacity as a judicial custodian, but the investigations conducted revealed that he had disposed of some of those items in violation of the law and in breach of his legal duties and responsibilities.
When confronted with the accusations against him, the accused admitted to the court that he had committed the act without providing any legal justifications for his actions.
The court decided to postpone the hearing to a later session to give the defendant the opportunity to present his defence in preparation for deciding the case in accordance with the observed legal procedures.
