Heavy rain in Abu Dhabi for the second day in a row

 Heavy rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, swept through Abu Dhabi, its surrounding suburbs, and Al Dhafra region for the second consecutive day on Tuesday. The downpour caused reduced visibility and cooler temperatures as cloud formations originating from the west moved into the area, leading to the intermittent development of cumulonimbus clouds in scattered locations.

Meteorological sources revealed that a new system of clouds began advancing from the west towards Al Dhafra and Abu Dhabi after midnight, persisting into the early morning hours. 

Experts noted that cumulonimbus cloud formations are likely to continue over much of the country today, bringing rain of varying intensity. More rainfall is anticipated tomorrow, Wednesday, particularly in the northern and eastern parts. 

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the highest recorded rainfall amounts by the end of Monday were as follows: Al Manama in Ajman with 93.3 mm, Ghayathi (Abu Dhabi) with 91 mm, Al Wathba (Abu Dhabi) with 88.2 mm, Mohammed Bin Zayed City (Abu Dhabi) with 78.7 mm, and Ruwais in the Al Dhafra region (Abu Dhabi) with 75.7 mm.
