In a scene that reflected the pulse of joy and the spirit of life on the first day of Eid Al Fitr, Dubai transformed into a festive tableau pulsating with colours and joy, where the laughter of families met with the evening breezes in more than 220 parks and entertainment facilities.
By this, the emirate confirmed once again its ability to create joy and provide an exceptional Eid experience that blended entertainment, hospitality and quality of life in its finest details.
Dubai welcomed visitors to public parks and recreational facilities with special celebrations and events on the first day of Eid Al Fitr in more than 220 parks and recreational facilities.
Major parks including as Mushrif National Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park and Zabeel Park witnessed a remarkable turnout of visitors during the Eid days amidst a vibrant atmosphere full of events and live shows.
These included traditional sweet-making demonstrations and distribution of carefully selected gifts from 4pm to 7pm, creating welcoming evening experiences that enabled families to enjoy a more moderate atmosphere in the open air.
Dubai parks provided special facilities to enable people of determination to spend happy times with family and friends, reflecting the Government of Dubai’s interest in providing the highest levels of comfort to this group in all public facilities.
Dubai Municipality confirmed the readiness of public beaches to welcome visitors, with traffic management in place through effective deployment of security personnel and equipment, crowd control in indoor areas and allocation of entry routes for people of determination and the elderly.
Beaches designated for families included Jumeirah Beach 1, Jumeirah Beach 2 including Night Beach, Jumeirah Beach 3 excluding Night Beach, Umm Suqeim Beach 1 including Night Beach and Umm Suqeim Beach 2.
The beaches were the most prominent destination during the Eid, attracting hundreds of tourists from all over the country, thanks to the recreational services and integrated facilities they provided, especially for sea lovers, who find in them an ideal opportunity to relax and enjoy the enchanting beauty of nature.
Nazwa Park also hosted a special Eid event in rural areas, which included a programme full of interactive educational and recreational workshops in addition to a special appearance by the characters ‘Modesh’ and ‘Dana’ and performances by the traditional war band, which added a vibrant festive atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the Children’s City organized a celebratory event on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr from 4pm to 7pm with the aim of spreading joy among children and members of the society. It featured various recreational activities such as games and competitions in addition to the distribution of gifts and sweets in an interactive atmosphere that promoted the values of participation and the spirit of Eid.
Dubai Municipality reiterated its commitment to promoting tourism and entertainment in the emirate by providing an integrated environment and modern facilities and increasing green spaces in line with the highest international standards, noting the joint work with relevant authorities, most notably Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.
