Eid Al Fitr 2026 prayer timings across the UAE

The UAE authorities said that Eid Al Fitr prayers would be held in approved mosques across the UAE.

The authorities clarified that prayers will not be held in any Eid prayer grounds or open-air spaces throughout the UAE, in accordance with the measures taken by the government to ensure the safety of worshippers.

The first day of Eid Al Fitr is likely to be on Thursday / Friday according to the moon sighting committee.

The authorities are preparing to mark the Eid with best possible, incident free.

The Islamic body in the UAE has issued Eid Al Fitr prayer timings for the seven emirates.

•     Abu Dhabi: 6:43am

•     Dubai: 6:40am

•     Sharjah: 6:39am

•     Ajman: 6:39am

•     Umm Al Quwain: 6:39am

•     Ras Al Khaimah: 6:37am

•     Fujairah: 6:36am

Authorities and volunteers will supervise the process of entering and leaving the places of prayer, to prevent congestion.

The UAE Council for Fatwa has confirmed the permissibility of giving Zakat Al Fitr in cash, setting a recommended value of Dhs25 per person in 1447 AH (2026).

This comes as a facilitative measure for the public in fulfilment of the higher objectives of Zakat, namely, enabling the poor to be adequately provided for on the day of Eid and ensuring that the due right reaches its rightful beneficiaries.

The UAE Council for Fatwa stated that Zakat Al Fitr amounts to 2.5 kilogrammes of rice per person and may be made in kind (as rice) or in cash.

In a statement ahead of Eid Al Fitr, the Council explained that Zakat Al Fitr is obligatory, according to the hadith by Ibn Omar, "Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) has made Sadaqat Al Fitr obligatory, (and it was), either one Sa’ of barley or one Sa’ of dates”.

Zakat Al Fitr is a mandatory obligation for all financially capable Muslims, regardless of age or gender. The head of the household is responsible for fulfilling this obligation on behalf of their spouse, children, and dependents.
