Rain is expected in some coastal areas and islands starting Tuesday and continuing for three days, as the country will be affected by a weak surface low-pressure system from the east and a weak surface high-pressure system from the west, accompanied by the extension of a weak high-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather today (Monday) is expected to be clear to partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times during the night, with a further rise in temperature, the NCM said.
Light to moderate northeasterly to southwesterly winds will blow at 10–20 km/h, reaching up to 35 km/h at times and stirring dust. The sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, it added.
Tomorrow’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times over some coastal areas and islands, with a chance of drizzle. It will also be humid at night and on Wednesday morning in some inland areas.
Light to moderate northeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow at 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h at times and stirring dust. The sea will have regular to moderate waves, becoming rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Wednesday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times in some coastal areas and islands, possibly accompanied by drizzle, with a noticeable drop in temperature. It will be humid at night and on Thursday morning in some coastal and inland areas.
Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds will blow at 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h at times offshore. The sea will have moderate waves, becoming rough at times in the Arabian Gulf, while waves in the Sea of Oman will range from regular to moderate, becoming rough at times.
Thursday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, especially in some coastal areas and islands, with a chance of rain.
Light to moderate northeasterly to southeasterly winds will blow at 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h at times. The sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
