Air India and Air India Express have cancelled several flights to and from the UAE on March 15 following operational restrictions issued by UAE airport authorities.
In a statement, the airlines said they were compelled to further curtail their ad-hoc operations for the day in line with instructions from airport authorities in the country.
All Air India Express flights scheduled to operate to and from Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah have been cancelled.
Both carriers will instead operate one round trip each on the Delhi–Dubai sector.
The airlines said these flights would operate subject to slot availability and prevailing conditions at the time of departure.
Passengers booked on cancelled or temporarily suspended services have been offered the option to rebook for a future date at no additional charge or opt for a full refund.
Air India and Air India Express expressed regret over the disruption, stating that the curtailment was due to unavoidable circumstances.
The airlines added that they remain committed to bringing stranded passengers home safely at the earliest opportunity.
