The Sharjah Misdemeanor Court looked into a case involving an Arab man accused of damaging another's vehicle after it was parked in his assigned space. The incident reportedly unfolded in a fit of anger, with surveillance cameras capturing evidence of the act.
According to the plaintiff’s report to the police, his vehicle was damaged through slashing tires and multiple scratches. Investigative teams analyzed the surveillance footage and conducted preliminary inquiries, which eventually led to identifying the suspect. During interrogation, the accused admitted to slashing the tires, explaining that his actions arose from frustration as the complainant had repeatedly occupied his designated parking space.
Faced with the allegations of slashing the tires and scratching the vehicle, the defendant acknowledged responsibility for the slashing the tires but denied causing any scratches, reiterating that his actions were driven by anger. He noted that the complainant had subsequently dropped the charges against him. As a result, the court postponed the hearing to allow time for the defendant to provide the waiver documentation.
