Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, Hussain Muhammad, on Monday visited Rashid Hospital to inquire about the health and well-being of Pakistani nationals who were injured due to falling debris following the interception of incoming missiles in Dubai.
During the visit to Rashid Hospital, Consul General Hussain was also accompanied by Community Welfare Attachés Imran Shahid and Junaid Murtaza, who met the injured expats and expressed solidarity with them. They also pray for their speedy recovery.
The visiting Pakistan’s consulate delegation was received by Dr Mansour Yousef, Medical Director of Rashid Hospital, who briefed them on the medical condition of the injured Pakistanis and the treatment being provided.
During the visit, the Consul General met with the hospitalised Pakistani nationals Insaram-ul Haq Shabbir, Khurram Iqbal and Sheraz Ahmed and conveyed his best wishes for their speedy recovery. He thanked the hospital management and medical staff for providing excellent medical care and support.
The Consul General also assured the injured Pakistanis of the Consulate’s necessary assistance and support during this difficult time.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani community was requested to continue observing all safety and security guidelines issued by the UAE government, a statement issued by the Pakistani embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Community members are encouraged to remain attentive and to extend their full cooperation to the relevant authorities, helping to ensure the safety and wee-being of everyone, the statement added.
In case of any consular emergency, the embassy remains fully committed to extending all possible support and assistance to mebers of the Pakistani community.
UAE air defences on Monday detected 15 ballistic missiles, of which 12 were destroyed, while three missiles fell into the sea. A total of 18 drones were also detected, with 17 intercepted, while one fell within the country's territory, according to WAM report.
The Ministry of Defence affirmed that it remains fully prepared to deal with any threats and will respond firmly to any attempts to undermine the country's security, ensuring the protection of its sovereignty, security and stability, and safeguarding its national interests and capabilities.
