Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, visited today the fieldwork teams and defence heroes in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ).
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad was briefed on the heroic work of the security and safety teams in the field, praising the significant and ongoing efforts that contributed to controlling the overall situation, preserving the safety of individuals and the community, and supporting security and safety in the region.
He extended his thanks and appreciation to the heroes who continue to work and supervise the safety of individuals and public security in the area, emphasising its current priority.
The Crown Prince of Fujairah said, “We thank you for your efforts, work, and dedication in the field to maintain the safety of individuals and the land. On this blessed Friday, we pray to God to protect our nation and to perpetuate its security, safety, and stability.”
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad was accompanied by several officials.
Earlier, the competent authorities in Fujairah successfully brought under control a fire that broke out earlier in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, which resulted from falling debris following the successful interception of a drone by air defence systems.
The Media Office Government of Fujairah said that response teams continued their dedicated efforts around the clock to contain the fire, which did not result in any injuries.
The media office urged the public to obtain information from the country’s official and accredited sources, stressing the importance of avoiding the circulation of rumours or unverified information.
Recently, Fujairah International Airport, in partnership with SalamAir of the Sultanate of Oman, has announced the operation of a series of charter flights as part of humanitarian efforts to support travellers wishing to return to their home countries amid current regional challenges.
These special charter flights are scheduled to operate via Muscat on 4th and 5th March 2026, linking Fujairah with five major international destinations: Calicut, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Istanbul and Karachi.

Recently, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad attended the World Taekwondo Gala Awards honouring outstanding individuals and organisations from the 2025 sporting season.
He highlighted the role of sport in supporting Fujairah’s vision and advancing the emirate’s comprehensive and sustainable development.
The ceremony was attended by Dr Chungwon Choue, President of World Taekwondo Federation, along with senior officials and international sports figures.
He underscored the continued support of Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, for the development of the sports sector, noting its importance in nurturing athletic talent and encouraging participation in international competitions, thereby enhancing the standing of Fujairah and the UAE on regional and global stages.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Mohammed commended the efforts of World Taekwondo and the organising committees of the Fujairah International Open Taekwondo Championship and the Arab Cup, praising their high organisational standards and adherence to international best practices, which reflect the emirate’s readiness to host major sporting events.
During the ceremony, he honoured Belgian taekwondo athlete Sarah Chaari with the award for Best Female Athlete worldwide.
For his part, Dr Chungwon Choue expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Crown Prince of Fujairah for his continued support of sport in the emirate, and for providing an ideal environment for the development of sports and the organisation of international competitions in line with the highest global standards.
