Sharjah Police arrest three for selling counterfeit gold ingot to a woman

Sharjah Misdemeanor Court heard a case in which three Arabs were accused of deceiving an Arab woman by selling her a counterfeit gold ingot.

Earlier, Sharjah Police received a report stating that three people had defrauded an Arab woman by claiming to have sold her a gold ingot.

After meeting the victim, the suspects agreed to receive Dhs35,000 as a down payment but she was later surprised to find that the ingot was fake.

Meanwhile, dedicated teams from Sharjah Police were able to arrest the three perpetrators after conducting investigations and checking the surveillance cameras.

When charged with fraud by Sharjah Misdemeanor Court, one of the defendants admitted the charge while the two others denied it. The court adjourned the session to notify the victim.
