Dubai: Dubai Police underscored the significance of avoiding the photography or sharing of images depicting critical and security-related infrastructure. This, they highlighted, is more than a simple caution — it's a shared national duty that plays a vital role in safeguarding community security and promoting stability.
Through their official account on the X platform, Dubai Police reminded the public that what may seem like an innocent photo to some could be interpreted as valuable information by others.
They emphasised that refraining from capturing or distributing such images is a fundamental responsibility that aids in fortifying communal safety.
Additionally, they warned that taking or disseminating photos of sensitive sites, along with spreading unverified information, could lead to legal consequences while jeopardising the nation's security and stability.
They reiterated that adhering to these guidelines directly contributes to a safer and more secure community.
Earlier in a post on X account, Dubai Police also warned that sharing rumours, false information, or any content that contradicts official announcements or that may cause public panic or threaten public safety, order, or health is prohibited.
Violators may face criminal penalties, including imprisonment and fines of no less than Dhs200,000, Dubai Police said.
