His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received well-wishers on Saturday evening, at Al Badee Palace on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The gathering was attended by Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
His Highness accepted greetings and blessings on this significant religious occasion from senior officials, business leaders, dignitaries, tribal leaders, and members of the public.
Those extending their congratulations conveyed heartfelt wishes to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah on the advent of the blessed month, praying to Almighty Allah to grant His Highness continued health and well-being, further progress and prosperity to the United Arab Emirates, and peace, goodness, and blessings to the Arab and Islamic nations.

An earlier report says Expo Centre Sharjah is set to host the 43rd edition of “Ramadan Nights 2026” exhibition from 6th to 22nd March, promising a curated blend of cultural and shopping experiences, as part of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival.
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the exhibition will feature more than 210 exhibitors from major retailers and distributors and over 700 leading local and international brands.
Spanning over 18,000 square metres, the exhibition will offer substantial promotions and exclusive discounts of more than 75 per cent on a diverse range of products, with a layout that follows the latest international standards in consumer exhibition design.
This year’s edition is expected to draw more than 150,000 visitors, providing a wide product portfolio, including apparel, cosmetics, household electronics, luxury home furnishings, food items, and sports equipment.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, stated that the Ramadan Nights exhibition is a key economic driver for the emirate during the holy month. He explained that the exhibition stimulates the retail sector and domestic tourism while functioning as a strategic marketplace for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and productive families.
A key highlight of Ramadan Nights 2026 is the “Heritage Village”, which offers a curated programme showcasing authentic Emirati Ramadan customs through folk performances, cultural contests, and heritage-themed panel discussions.
Visitors can also relish in a culinary experience at the “Iftar Corner” that serves a wide selection of delectable local, regional, and international cuisines. Also, the “Children’s Corner” features a larger space and play areas this year, with a broader range of fun games and creative educational programmes.
For over five decades, the Emirate of Sharjah has been thriving thanks to the vision and leadership of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Since assuming the rule of the Emirate of Sharjah on January 25, 1972, he has relentlessly pursued growth and advancement, delivering tangible benefits to the people of Sharjah.
His unprecedented gifts and visionary policies have elevated the quality of life in the Emirate, making it a beacon of progress and prosperity in the region.
His Highness's reign has been marked by numerous achievements, including the provision of additional support to enhance the social and economic stability of citizens' families, ensuring the well-being of the elderly, differently-abled individuals, and the bedridden. This has enabled beneficiaries to manage their living affairs efficiently and independently.
From February 1961 to September 1963, His Highness worked as an English and mathematics teacher at the Industrial School in Sharjah.
In 1965, he took over the leadership of the municipality. After completing his university studies in Cairo in 1971, he returned to Sharjah to take over the management of the Ruler's Office.
