Emirates has announced the temporary suspension of all its operations to and from Dubai until 3:00pm (UAE time) on Tuesday, March 3, due to multiple airspace closures in several countries across the region.
The airline confirmed that the situation remains dynamic and is being continuously assessed, urging all passengers to monitor the latest operational updates via its website and to check their email for any notifications regarding flight changes or cancellations before heading to the airport.
The airline clarified that passengers with bookings for travel on or before March 5 may rebook on an alternative flight to their intended destination no later than March 20. Customers who booked through a travel agent must contact their agent directly, while those who booked via the airline’s official website should contact Emirates directly. Passengers who booked directly with the airline may also request a refund by completing the online refund request form, while those who booked through travel agents must approach their agents for refunds.
Emirates stressed that affected passengers should contact their travel agents for rebooking, or the airline directly if the booking was made without an intermediary. Customers are also advised to ensure their contact details are updated through the “Manage Booking” service to receive timely notifications.
The airline also announced the temporary closure of all city check-in facilities in Dubai until further notice. Emirates said it is closely monitoring developments in coordination with the relevant authorities, apologised to affected passengers for any inconvenience caused by the disruptions, and reaffirmed that the safety and security of passengers and crew remain its top priority.
