Drone intercepted in Abu Dhabi, debris falls on building facade

A drone was intercepted by air defences in Abu Dhabi and its debris fell on the facade of one of the Etihad Towers buildings, resulting in minor injuries to a woman and her child, and minor material damage, according to the authorities.

Authorities clarified that the sounds heard in the emirate were a result of successful interception operations. They urged the public not to circulate rumours and false information and to obtain information only from official sources, stressing that updates will be published as soon as they are received.
