Fog prevailed at dawn on Sunday, with horizontal visibility dropping to low levels, sometimes reaching zero in some coastal and inland areas, between 1am and 10am on Sunday, February 22.
These weather conditions are expected to continue until next Thursday as a result of the country being affected by a weak surface low-pressure system from the east and a high-pressure system from the west, accompanied by an extension of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Monday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy at times but will be humid at night and on Tuesday morning with fog or light fog forming over some coastal and inland areas.
Light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds will blow at 10 to 20 and up to 30 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Tuesday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy at times with a rise in temperature but will be humid at night and on Wednesday morning with a chance for light fog to form over some coastal areas.
Light to moderate southwesterly to northeasterly winds will blow at 10 to 20 and up to 30 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Wednesday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy at times but will be humid at night and on Thursday morning with a chance for fog or light fog to form over some coastal and inland areas.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 25 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
Thursday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy at times but will be humid at night and on Friday morning with a chance for fog or light fog to form over some coastal and inland areas.
Light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 25 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have moderate to regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
