Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced that the United Arab Emirates will provide $1.2 billion in support of Gaza through the “Board of Peace.”
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates has announced the major humanitarian commitment of $1.2 billion to support the people of Gaza through a newly backed initiative referred to as the “Board of Peace.”
The pledge underscores the UAE’s continued role as a key regional humanitarian actor and reflects its stated commitment to peacebuilding and reconstruction efforts.
The financial package is expected to prioritize:
Emergency humanitarian relief
Medical aid and healthcare infrastructure
Food security and essential supplies
Shelter and reconstruction of damaged homes
Support for vulnerable groups, including children and displaced families
UAE officials indicated that the funding will be channeled through coordinated mechanisms to ensure rapid delivery and transparency. The initiative aims to address urgent needs while also laying groundwork for longer-term stability and recovery.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the UAE’s contribution aligns with its broader diplomatic efforts to promote stability and de-escalation in the region. The “Board of Peace” framework is designed to facilitate coordinated humanitarian and reconstruction assistance, working alongside regional and international partners.

The announcement reflects the UAE leadership’s longstanding approach of combining humanitarian relief with development-driven support, particularly in crisis-affected areas.
The UAE has historically been among the leading donors of humanitarian assistance in the Middle East. Through agencies such as the Emirates Red Crescent, the country has delivered medical aid, food supplies, and reconstruction support to conflict-affected communities.
In recent months, Emirati humanitarian missions have included airlifts of medical supplies, establishment of field hospitals, and coordinated relief operations aimed at alleviating civilian suffering.
