Sharjah Charity Association distributed 30,000 Iftar meals at 129 locations across the Emirate of Sharjah on the first day of Ramadan, as part of its plan to distribute one million meals throughout the Holy Month.
The carefully prepared meals include rice, meat, dates, and juices, providing a complete Iftar for those fasting. The association has contracted with reputable kitchens that adhere to strict health and safety guidelines in meal preparation.
Appropriate transportation has also been used to ensure the meals are preserved and protected from spoilage during transport to the various locations.
Abdullah Sultan Bin Khadem, Executive Director, stated that the Iftar project is one of the most prominent initiatives undertaken during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
He explained that the project aims to strengthen social solidarity and alleviate the suffering of needy families.
He added that they are committed to ensuring the meals are provided according to the highest standards of quality and safety to guarantee beneficiary satisfaction.
He emphasised that the contributions of generous donors remain essential for the project's continuity and for increasing the number of meals distributed, and expressed gratitude for their ongoing support.
