Medical fitness test procedures for residency visa and occupational health in Dubai will be integrated into a single application and will be conducted through a unified track, to shorten procedures and facilitate the applicant's journey, according to Dubai Health, which announced this as part of the "City Builders" initiatives, under the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai.
The service will be provided at 8 medical fitness centres affiliated with Dubai Health, including: Al Garhoud Medical Fitness Centre, Al Nahda Medical Fitness Centre, Al Karama Medical Fitness Centre, Al Yalayis Medical Fitness Centre, Bur Dubai Medical Fitness Centre, Jebel Ali Free Zone Medical Fitness Centre, Zabeel Medical Fitness Centre, and "Salem Smart" centres.
Dubai Health launched the "Unified Medical Test" service, under which these procedures fall, and it will be implemented in cooperation with a number of government entities including the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai (GDRFA), Dubai Municipality, the Supreme Legislation Committee (SLC), and the Department of Finance (DoF).
Dr. Alawi Alsheikh Ali, Director General of the DHA, emphasised the importance of the initiative and its active role in automating processes and unifying and accelerating data exchange between relevant entities, which contributes to enhancing preventive planning and keeping pace with the requirements of population and economic growth in the Emirate.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the GDRFA, said that the service embodies the integrated government work model.
Engineer Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said that the service is a qualitative leap in enhancing government integration between entities, by unifying databases and linking them intelligently, which allows inspection teams in Dubai Municipality to access accurate and immediate information when carrying out inspection operations.
Dr Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, said that the service reflects the constructive cooperation between government entities within the "City Builders" initiatives, and translates Dubai's vision in providing smart and proactive services.
