Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain hosted the “Athar Family and Community Forum,” held under the patronage and in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, with broad participation from officials, community members, and representatives of social and educational institutions.
The forum aims to strengthen the role of the family as the cornerstone of a cohesive and prosperous society by highlighting issues related to family bonding, positive parenting, and social responsibility.
The event featured a varied programmes of panel discussions and interactive activities focused on empowering families, supporting youth, and promoting authentic social values.
In the evening, the event was attended by Sheikhas Sheikha Nada Bint Issa Al Mualla, Sheikha Wafa Bint Humaid Al Mualla, Sheikha Shaikha Bint Abdullah Al Nuaimi, and Sheikha Aisha Al Sharqi.
They conducted an inspection tour of the exhibition alongside Her Excellency Nouf Al Yafei and Ms. Kulthum Al Nuaimi, where they were introduced to the accompanying activities and participating entities.
Speakers at the forum emphasised the importance of integrating the roles of families, educational institutions, and community organisations in raising aware generations capable of contributing effectively to development.
Dr Eng. Hamed Mohammed Al Neyadi, Chairman of the
Emirates Society for Public Administarion, stated that the forum included a range of activities, such as lectures held in the stadium hall covering topics related to family affairs, the economy, heritage, and tourism.
The event also featured an accompanying outdoor exhibition showcasing heritage displays by the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalid Center, as well as a businesswomen’s and family entrepreneurs’ exhibition.
The forum witnessed international participation from the United Kingdom, Egypt, and Western Sahara, aiming to enhance cooperation, exchange expertise and knowledge, and explore opportunities for partnerships and community investment.
Sessions also addressed multiple themes, including mental health, work–life balance, and the impact of technology on family relationships, drawing notable engagement from attendees.
An accompanying exhibition for family products featured a diverse collection of home-based projects and small businesses presented by Emirati families.
Exhibits included handmade items, heritage crafts, homemade foods, and natural products. The exhibition provided a platform to support family entrepreneurs, promote sustainable home-based work, and introduce visitors to local creativity and skills reflecting a spirit of innovation and self-reliance.
The forum saw strong interaction from the audience, who had the opportunity to participate in workshops and activities designed for children and youth, in addition to advisory platforms offering family and educational guidance.
The event also included educational and awareness segments highlighting successful community initiatives and inspiring experiences.
The organisation of the “Athar Family and Community Forum” comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance family well-being and foster a culture of community engagement, in line with the UAE’s vision to support family stability and empowerment as a foundation for sustainable development.
