Sharjah extends paid parking hours until midnight in Khorfakkan during Ramadan

Sharjah City Municipality, in co-operation with Khorfakkan Municipality, announced the amendment to the parking hours for blue zone areas to be from 8am until 12 midnight instead of 10pm across Khorfakkan, starting from Feb.16, 2026.

The decision is aimed at making public parking available in tourist and key areas until late at night, while other paid parking spaces remain as they are and the amended tariff times apply to them only during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The amendment to the parking hours for blue zone areas follows an extensive study of the nature of these parking lots, the rate of demand for them and the areas in which they are located. It is based on benchmark comparisons and comes in response to the observations of many residents and visitors.

In light of the economic and commercial boom, operating public parking lots until midnight has become necessary with a view to providing them to customers, reducing their misuse and overcoming obstacles and challenges, as seasonal subscription holders and patrons of restaurants and cafeterias find it difficult to find parking after 10pm.
