Abu Dhabi Court fines woman Dhs1,000 for failing to pay for 349 SIM cards

The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil, and Administrative Cases Court ordered a woman to pay a man Dhs14,000 and fined her Dhs1,000 after she purchased 349 SIM cards under an agreement to pay their value at a later date, but failed to do so.

In detail, a man filed a lawsuit against the woman, requesting that she be ordered to repay Dhs14,000, in addition to Dhs2,000 in compensation, and to cover court fees, expenses, and legal costs.

To establish the debt, the judge directed the decisive oath to the plaintiff. The plaintiff swore that the defendant had purchased 349 SIM cards worth Dhs14,000 with an agreement to pay later, but she refused to settle the amount, causing him material and moral damage.

The court ruled that the dispute was settled by the oath and ordered the defendant to pay Dhs14,000, along with Dhs1,000 in compensation for the material and moral damages suffered by the plaintiff.
