Two Emirati businessmen and philanthropists, Marwan and Hassan, sons of the late Abdulla Al Rostamani, have undertaken to build a special people’s majlis for the people of Easimah area, 90 kilometres southeast of Ras Al Khaimah City.
The new people’s majlis, which was inaugurated last Saturday by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, was the result of a charitable community initiative that reflected the values of giving and social solidarity, said Ahmed Rashid Al Zaabi, Secretary General of Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Work.
The majlis was built with a generous donation by the two benevolent brothers as a contribution from them to support the local community and serve the people of the area with a view to consolidating the values of giving, benevolence and charitable work, he added.
“The Easimah Majlis, which can accommodate around 200 people, is intended to provide integrated service facilities that contribute to consolidating social and popular ties, enhancing community cohesion and enabling the people of the area to hold their community events in a suitable place,” he said.
Al Zaabi explained that the majlis included two internal meeting rooms along with restrooms, a kitchen and a guard’s room.
The majlis is overseen by Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Work to reflect its role in supporting community initiatives and strengthening the social solidarity system in line with the Government of Ras Al Khaimah’s directives to consolidate the values of social cohesion and serve the residents of the area, he said.
