Etihad Airways has announced the cancellation of a number of flights to and from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) for Sunday, January 25. The decision is due to airport closures and severe weather conditions impacting North America.
The flights affected are EY1 from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to New York (JFK), EY3 from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to New York (JFK), EY2 from New York (JFK) to Abu Dhabi (AUH), EY4 from New York (JFK) to Abu Dhabi (AUH), EY5 from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Washington (IAD), and EY6 from Washington (IAD) to Abu Dhabi (AUH), all scheduled for January 25. Meanwhile, all other Etihad Airways flights operating to the United States and Canada are continuing as planned.
The airline has stated that weather conditions continue to be unpredictable, which could result in additional delays or cancellations if necessary.
Etihad Airways is assisting affected passengers by rebooking them on alternative flights as soon as operations restart or offering a full refund if requested.
