UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: "On the occasion of the launch of the 'Year of the Family', we affirm our commitment to continue working to enhance the family's growth, cohesion, and its role in building individuals and raising generations to love their homeland, belong to it, and adhere to its values and principles.”
His Highness added: “Empowering the family is a national priority and a shared social responsibility, and investing in it is an investment in the future of the UAE and the sustainability of its renaissance."
