Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court ordered a woman to pay Dhs7,000 as compensation to the principal of a private school, who was attending a meeting with his colleagues and she came into and directed abusive and insulting words to him and those present.
In detail, the principal of a private school filed a lawsuit against a woman, requesting that she be ordered to pay him Dhs50,000 in material, moral, and emotional compensation for the damages he incurred as a result of her actions, and to bear the fees, expenses, and legal costs.
The complainant stated that he worked as a director at a private school, and while he was meeting with his colleagues, the defendant came to the place and directed abusive remarks at him and those present.
Consequently, a criminal case was filed against her after she caused him material and moral damages and led to the termination of his services from the school.
The court clarified that it was established from the case documents, investigations, and submitted evidence that while the complainant was at the school with his colleagues discussing the organisation of a student celebration, the defendant arrived at the location and directed insulting remarks that affected their dignity.
The court also concluded from the case documents, the police report, public prosecution investigations, and the criminal judgment, that the defendant's fault was proved, which caused moral damages to the complainant.
Accordingly, the court estimated the compensation he was entitled to for these damages at Dhs7,000.
